Preamble:
For the last several years we have witnessed an alarming rise in antisemitic incidents in the U.S., a rise in anti-Israel vitriol, the organizing of pro-Hamas rallies with upwards of tens of thousands of participants across America, and the vehemently anti-Israel indoctrination and vitriol from college campuses and universities, we are launching the National Task Force to Combat Antisemitism in the United States.
Our vision is to coalesce Christian, Jewish, and institutional organizational leaders, to monitor the current and future rise of antisemitic trends, establish metrics and joint action items to combat the rise of antisemitism and establish a coalition to defend the Jewish people, and to provide a firewall to counter this rise of antisemitism in America.
We, the National Task Force to Combat Antisemitism, hereby commit ourselves to combating hatred of the Jewish people today—in our country and around the world.
Antisemitism is hostility, discrimination, and hatred of the Jews manifested in statements and actions that target the Jewish people individually or collectively,
We denounce antisemitism in a spirit of compassion and friendship, aware that education about the evils of this hatred is a moral responsibility for people.
We recognize that antisemitism in any community, including our own, demands condemnation.
We recognize that antisemitism is a poison to any society, and that threats to the Jewish people will ultimately spread to Christians and all people of conscience.
We condemn any attempt to delegitimize, boycott, divest, or sanction Israel or bar Jews from participating in academic or communal associations.
We recognize that anti-Zionism and antisemitism are different manifestations of the same hatred against Jewish people.
We affirm the right of the Jewish people to live safely and securely in their ancestral homeland, and that modern state of Israel is essential to that security.
